In another life, while directing TVC projects and leading them in a creative capacity, I pursued digital painting and concept design to help clients understand my vision.

Nezha character sheet: rough ink pose sketches beside two coloured turnarounds in a green tunic and pink lotus collar
Six blue-toned painted keyframes of misty underwater caverns with shafts of light, coral and glowing plant life
Eight numbered pencil sketches of a dragon-faced ride vehicle with bared teeth, plus a navy colour version with glowing green eyes
Concepts created for Pearl Quest at Framestore.
Animated-style character sitting alone in a police interview room, with a whiteboard of case notes, wall clock and closed door
Character exploration for Blue Zoo Media Group.
Three painted goblin variants: a bare-bellied green brute, a mechanic with a wrench and apron, and a red tribal figure with a smoking staff
Painted thatched hut with a rusty smokestack and graffitied timber walls, standing alone in a vast golden grassland
Painting of two colossal rock pillars rising from a misty sea, with a tiny figure standing in the surf below for scale
Painterly scene of a cloaked figure facing a long corridor of towering streaked forms toward a bright shaft of prismatic light
Various concepts.
Stocky pirate captain with a skull-and-crossbones hat, snaggle-toothed grin and folded arms in a pinstriped coat, painted on dark grey
Stylised wooden pirate ship with black Jolly Roger sails, rope rigging and green smoke drifting from a porthole
Pirate-based TVC concepts for the charity, Create.
Pen and ink costume studies of a bald, heavyset character in a quilted cape, with separate sketches of gloves, boots and armour pieces
Collage of sketchbook pages filled with pencil and ink character heads, grotesque faces, creatures and figure studies
Pencil storyboard pages for a Versace Chain Reaction sneaker concept, with vortex, Medusa head and shoelace weave frames and notes
Pencil sketchbook pages exploring an armoured crocodile warrior character through poses, head studies and close-ups of eyes
Traditional media.
